Pocklington is a stunning market town on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds that has welcomed  dog lovers alike across its large variety of dog friendly cafes, bars, shops and walks. The town is full of idyllic independent shops and businesses and is a delightful way to spend your weekend exploring the East Yorkshire coast.

Time: Approx 1 hour

Start Point: Common Ln, Barmby Moor, York YO42 4DB

Make your way through Allerthorpe Woods in this easy dog friendly and pram friendly walk. Dogs can be allowed off lead in some areas but it is advised that you bring a lead as there's sometimes livestock on the route.

Distance: 4.7km

Time: Approx 90 mins

Start Point: Parking is available at W Green, Pocklington, York YO42 2NH

This short circular walk starts and ends in Pocklington town centre and takes in some beautiful views of the town from above, as well as allowing you to explore part of the golf club. Once you've finished, head into one of the independent bars for a well deserved pint!
